昨天乘巴士經過前港督府（即現在的特首府），赫然發現在網球場旁邊安裝了兩塊已經淘汰的太陽能熱水板，因為一瞬間的時間沒能仔細看得清楚，希望那產品不是在數年前已經倒閉了那間廠家的產品，否則香港政府又做了一次冤大頭。因為那是平板式改裝或可以叫偽裝成為真空管式的太陽能熱水板而成的過度款式，功率不足四成，加上熱流失令其功率更低，不少外行人都被它的外貌和價錢所誤導。如沒有估計錯的話，設計者會在用水裝置前加裝一台熱水爐去解決功率不足的問題。如果拿出安裝前和安裝後的水、電費賬單相比較下就知道安裝的效果如何。另一方面，如果廠家已經倒閉的話，到那裏去找需要的零件和支援？

So what are you going to do about it?
Before install any renewable energy system should have a study. If concern the cost only but not effective, then go ahead to install second grade products and forget its performance. Otherwise, studying is the most important. If you have unluckily installed a second grade products, you should verify the performance of the system. If the performance worse then expected but better then before installation. Then keep on using it, otherwise demolish the system.
